Zoysia Tenuifolia

Zoysia Tenuifolia - Korean Velvet Grass - is unlike any standard lawn grass. Rather than growing flat, it develops a naturally mounded, pillow-like surface: a dense, fine-textured carpet that undulates gently in organic mounds rather than lying completely flat. The effect is lush and slightly unusual, somewhere between a lawn and a living sculpture. It is extremely slow-growing - takes two to three years to fully establish - but once settled requires very little mowing, fertilising, or watering. Better suited to ornamental lawn areas and feature positions than high-traffic family lawns. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Very drought tolerant once established.
