Thyme Pink Chintz

Pink Chintz Creeping Thyme forms a flat, dense mat of fine, aromatic foliage - the leaves are tiny but strongly scented when brushed or walked on. In late spring the mat covers itself in soft pink flowers that attract bees in large numbers. It tolerates light foot traffic, which makes it excellent for filling gaps between pavers and stepping stones where the fragrance can be released underfoot. Full sun. Very well-drained soil. Very drought tolerant once established - Thyme evolved in dry Mediterranean conditions similar to Perth's. Trim lightly after flowering.
