Jade Jewel Radermachera is a compact, sheltered-outdoor shrub with fine, pinnate foliage - each leaf divided into many small, glossy dark green leaflets that give the plant a delicate, lacy appearance quite different to most garden shrubs. It stays naturally tidy at around 1-1.5m and responds well to light pruning if needed. Best in a sheltered position in Perth - protected from strong afternoon sun and drying winds. An excellent plant for a shaded courtyard, a protected south-facing wall, or the sheltered side of a building where something with genuine year-round foliage interest is needed. Part shade. Well-drained soil. Water regularly. Feed in spring.
