Native to tropical Central and South America, they have evolved on the forest floor where light is filtered and variable - meaning they genuinely tolerate low to medium light, though they grow faster and look better in bright indirect light. Bright indirect light. Water when the top third of the soil is dry. Do not sit in water. Well-draining indoor potting mix. Feed monthly with a liquid fertiliser during spring and summer.
