Mondo Grass - Ophiopogon Japonica

Mondo Grass forms dense, dark green tufts of fine, arching leaves - one of the most reliably useful and long-lived groundcovers for Perth gardens. It is genuinely tolerant of deep shade, including the difficult dry shade under established trees and overhanging rooflines where most plants struggle to survive, let alone look good. Once established it requires almost no attention and will outlast most other garden plants in the same position for decades. Clip back to ground level every 2-3 years if it becomes untidy. Part shade to full shade - one of the best performers in deep shade. Adaptable soils. Drought tolerant once established.
