The Story
Silver Bullion is a compact selected form of Cushion Bush with particularly fine, dense silver foliage - more intensely silver and more tightly mounded than the standard Leucophyta Brownii. The almost metallic quality of the foliage is at its most vivid when the plant is young and actively growing, and the rounded cushion form is naturally maintained without pruning. It grows to around 40-60cm. Outstanding for coastal gardens, exposed positions, and contemporary plantings where a strong silver element is wanted in a compact scale. Full sun. Sandy, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant. Highly salt and wind tolerant.
