Perth's most-grown backyard tree, and for good reason. Eureka is a true lemon in every sense - sharp, juicy, thick-skinned, and productive for most of the year. It handles Perth summers well once established, thrives in full sun, and is equally happy in the ground or a large pot. Plant in full sun with good drainage. Water deeply but infrequently once established - sandy Perth soils drain fast, so a layer of mulch around the base makes a real difference to moisture retention. Feed with a slow-release citrus fertiliser in spring and autumn. Prune lightly after harvest to maintain shape.
