The Story
Kalanchoe is an African and Malagasy succulent genus that stores water in its fleshy leaves and stems, making it genuinely drought tolerant in garden and pot conditions. The genus spans foliage-focused species and flowering forms. Full sun to bright indirect light. Excellent drainage. Allow to dry between waterings. Silver Spoons (Kalanchoe Hildebrandtii) produces long, spoon-shaped leaves covered in dense silver-white hairs that give the plant an almost completely white appearance - one of the most silver-toned of all succulents. The silvery coating protects the leaves from heat and sun, meaning it is genuinely happy in Perth's hottest outdoor positions. Full sun. Allow to dry completely between waterings.
