Hoya Coronaria is a species Hoya producing distinctive, deeply textured waxy leaves with a slightly corrugated surface, and unusual cup-shaped flowers - each bloom is a deep, bowl-shaped structure quite different from the flat star-shaped flowers of the more common Hoya Carnosa. The flowers have a waxy, almost artificial quality and appear in clusters on mature plants. Bright indirect light. Allow soil to dry significantly between waterings - Hoyas are succulent-like in their water storage and root rot from overwatering is the primary way they fail. Do not repot frequently - Hoyas flower best when slightly pot-bound.
