The Story
Miners Merlot Euphorbia produces compact, mounding foliage in deep red-purple tones - the colour is rich and consistent, holding well through the growing season rather than fading as some red-leaved plants do in Perth's summer heat. It grows to around 30-40cm with a naturally tidy, rounded form. The deep colour works well as a contrast to silver, lime-green, or pale-flowered plants in mixed dry garden plantings. Important note: all Euphorbia produce a milky white latex sap that is caustic and can irritate skin and eyes - wear gloves when pruning or handling cut stems. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established.
