Dipladenia Citrine

Dipladenia is a compact, bushy tropical plant producing large, trumpet-shaped flowers in vivid colours from spring through autumn. More contained than its close relative Mandevilla, it suits pot culture, courtyard planting, and smaller garden positions where a full-sized climber would be too large. Full sun. Well-drained soil. Water regularly through the growing season. Feed monthly with liquid fertiliser. Protect from frost. Citrine produces pale yellow trumpet flowers - an unusual colour in the Dipladenia range where pinks and reds dominate, and one that works well alongside white and cream tones in a pot arrangement. The soft yellow is warm and fresh rather than vivid.
