Dianella Seaspray

Dianella is one of the hardest-working plants in the Perth garden - tough, adaptable, long-lived, and effective across an enormous range of conditions from full sun to part shade. Seaspray has blue-grey foliage and, as the name suggests, particularly strong tolerance of coastal conditions - salt spray, sandy soils, and coastal winds. It is a good choice for Perth's beach suburb gardens and coastal properties where many plants struggle with the exposure. The blue-grey tone is also an asset in garden designs using silvery and coastal-themed planting palettes. Full sun to part shade. Sandy, well-drained soil. Drought tolerant once established.
