The Story
Blueberry Burst is a very compact, pot-specific blueberry that reaches around 60-90cm - small enough for a balcony container or a kitchen garden in a medium pot. It produces sweet, full-sized blueberries in summer and has an attractive, rounded habit with good autumn colour as a bonus. Like all blueberries, it requires acidic soil or potting mix (pH 4.5-5.5) - this is non-negotiable, and standard potting mix will not support it. Use a dedicated acidic blueberry mix. Water consistently - the small pot volume dries quickly. Feed with acid-forming fertiliser. Will benefit from a second blueberry variety nearby for improved fruit set.
