The Story
Lime Splice Abelia is a compact, low-growing shrub with bright lime-green leaves edged in cream - the foliage is the feature, providing strong colour contrast year-round even when the small white-pink flowers are not present. It grows to around 60-80cm and spreads to about the same width, forming a naturally tidy mound that suits it to low borders, mass planting under taller shrubs, and pot culture. The new growth is the brightest, fading slightly to a more consistent lime-green as it matures. Full sun gives the strongest colour; part shade is tolerated but the lime tone softens. Full sun to part shade. Well-drained soil. Low maintenance.
